Professional Experience
Mr. Landry joined the firm in 2005. Before becoming an attorney, he worked for ten years with Whitney National Bank where he was responsible for real estate lending, asset-based lending, consumer lending and regulatory compliance. He was also formerly with Phelps Dunbar, L.L.P. He is experienced in all aspects of oil and gas litigation, including “legacy” lawsuits, joint operating agreements, royalty disputes, drilling contracts, insurance coverage issues, and mineral lease issues.

Representative Matters
- Representation of oil and gas companies in “legacy” oilfield site lawsuits alleging environmental contamination from exploration and production activities.
- Representation of oil and gas companies in lawsuits involving contractual indemnity and other general contractual disputes.
- Representation of oil and gas companies in contractual disputes with co-working interest owners.
- Reviewing and negotiating Master Service Agreements and other maritime and oilfield services contracts, with particular emphasis on insurance and indemnity provisions.
- Representation of oil and gas oilfield service companies in filing and enforcing and defending liens and claims arising under the Louisiana Oil Well Lien Act (La. R.S. 9:4861, et seq.) and the Louisiana Operators/Non-Operatings Lien Act (La. R.S. 9:4881, et seq).
- Representation of oil and gas companies in litigation arising out of personal injuries on production platforms.
- Representation of oil and gas companies in insurance coverage disputes.
- Representation of oil and gas companies involving matters of Louisiana State Mineral and Energy Board, Department of Natural Resources (LDNR), Office of Conservation, Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) and related state agencies.
- Representation of oil and gas companies in matters involving exploration, production, and litigation.
- Representation of financial institutions and lenders.
- Representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in claims involving commercial transactions.
- Representation of businesses in corporate/company formations, acquisitions, litigation, and debt collection.
