Professional Experience

Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Arvidson worked for seven years in the oil and gas and maritime industries. She spent five years with the Greater Lafourche Port Commission, which oversees the administration and development of Port Fourchon and the South Lafourche Airport. While there, she served in various capacities, including Director of Business Development, and she was responsible for the negotiation and management of all leases, development permits, construction projects, and grant funding. In 2005, she joined the Americas Division of SEACOR Marine, LLC as Director of Administration. For the next two years, she oversaw the consolidation, relocation, and reorganization of the Americas Division after a major corporate acquisition.

Representative Matters

  • Representation of independent oil and gas companies in “legacy” lawsuits, alleging environmental contamination and invoking Louisiana’s Act 312 of 2006.
  • Representation of independent oil and gas companies that acquire oil and gas leases (for deepwater drilling) located in the Gulf of Mexico.
